The Experience will transport you through space and time, weaving a vivid montage of sights and sounds that showcase iconic stops, neon-lit motels, quirky roadside attractions, and the cultural heartbeat of the Mother Road. From the bustling diners of the Midwest to the sun-soaked piers of the Pacific, the Experience highlights Route 66’s legacy as a technological marvel of its era, connecting communities and sparking adventure.

The Experience offers a unique perspective on the evolution of Route 66, which invites you to relive the glory days of this legendary highway while celebrating its enduring spirit and the future preservation of key attractions along the route.

The Route 66 Centennial Immersive Experience Project includes three immersive 360-degree dome theaters that utilize 360-degree projection mapping and 5.1 surround sound to create a thrilling immersive experience.

The 50’ diameter domes are constructed from sturdy geodesic steel frames with heavy blackout vinyl covers. The theaters will feature screenings of a special Route 66 film produced by Vortex Immersion, a Los Angeles immersive media company.
