This is one of many ways the National Trust for Historic Preservation is supporting the people and places on Route 66 to ensure it remains a thriving and prosperous landscape for future generations.

Enric Casacuberta of Catalonia, Spain lost two dear friend to ALS. An avid runner, he began to raise funds for ALS research, public awarenss, and to help those with the costs of recovery and treatment. This was the impetus for the Route 66 Centennial Run for ALS.

Light Capsule

"Light Capsules..."

Is an art Installation that offer a portal through time to experience the vibrant glory of a faded past. Think "Time Capsule" using light.

Artist and designer Craig Winslow uses a technique called "Projection Mapping" to bring faded iconic ghost signs found along Route 66 "back to life." This vibrant, celebratory revival of the Road's glorious history is a fitting experiential celebration of the Route 66 Centennial.
