Old Town Albuquerque is the original townsite of Albuquerque, situated next to Route 66. The Plaza Vieja and surrounding homes were built by Spanish settlers in 1706. Take a stroll through the plazas, get dinner and a drink, shop for keepsakes and more in Old Town. For almost three centuries Old Town has been the crossroads of the Southwest. It is a Historical Zone of the City of Albuquerque and home for many families whose ancestors founded the town.
