Artist and designer Craig Winslow uses a technique called "Projection Mapping" to bring faded iconic ghost signs found along Route 66 "back to life." This vibrant, celebratory revival of the Road's glorious history is a fitting experiential celebration of the Route 66 Centennial.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Winslow Studios is an artist driven design studio crafting visually experiential installations that blend design and technology.
The Studio's approach is broad and multi-faceted, ranging from special event installations to a concept they call "Augmented Restortion" using projection mapping at building scale. But not until the Studio has researched the history of the wall — exploring the story of each sign and even the sign painter behind it.
The Studio points out that employing projection for restoration is non-damaging and non-invasive. It provides a powerful portal and experiental vision of what was or might be in the future.
