“100 Years of Route 66: One Road. Two Eras”
is a full-length, all electric vehicle journey across the Mother Road. Traveling through all eight Route 66 states the project explores how this legendary highway is entering a new chapter while honoring its past. By pairing an EV road trip with the classic Route 66 experience, the project will reveal how the Mother Road continues to evolve for a new generation of travelers.

A project from

100 Years of Route 66
One Road | Two Eras

This multimedia project blends nostalgic roadside Americana with the realities of modern electric vehicle infrastructure, documenting both preservation and change along the route. Through cinematic video storytelling, photography, SEO optimized travel guides, interactive maps, and social media content, “One Road. Two Eras”  will highlight the motels, diners, roadside attractions, and cultural landmarks that define Route 66—alongside the charging stations, new businesses, and communities shaping its future. At its core, the initiative demonstrates how sustainable tourism and modern transportation can coexist with historic preservation and local economic development.

All materials from the campaign will be freely available to the public, including EV charging guides, destination recommendations, and ready to use itineraries designed for modern trip planning. By promoting sustainable travel, elevating rural and independently owned businesses, and reaching younger, digital first audiences on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, “100 Years of Route 66: One Road. Two Eras” will support long term discovery of Route 66 while helping ensure that this storied highway remains vibrant for the next hundred years.
