"National Geographic
meets Where's Waldo,
with a universal message of connection!"

This project will showcase The Mother Road to 4 million Canadians and world travelers through a large-scale media art installation playing across 6 giant eye-level screens in Terminal 1 of Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada's largest and busiest.

Take Your Seat: Route 66

Take Your Seat   is a well established media and art installation concept developed by the father and son duo of Randy and Spencer VanDerStarren.

Their concept showcases global travel destinations, but with an interesting "signature" twist: An ever present red director's chair that appears in the darndest place from Tokyo, to Los Angeles, to Paris, to China... in cities, country sides and jungles. The chair is not the center of attention but ever-present. In fact finding it becomes a very engaging and fun game.

This earned them the 2022 title of Photojournalists of the year, by the Canadian Ethnic Media Association.
